Bridging Radiotherapy & Immunotherapy
September 30 @ 8:00 am - October 1 @ 5:00 pm
This international 2-day meeting in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, on September 30th and October 1st 2021 will focus on the combination of radiotherapy and immunotherapy and offers an attractive scientific program with excellent (inter)national speakers.
The majority of cancer patients will undergo radiotherapy during the course of their disease. Combining this local treatment with immunotherapy offers an exciting opportunity to enhance potential systemic effects, which could lead to more successful and less toxic outcomes for many cancer patients.
Additionally, the recent clinical introduction of MR-guided radiotherapy at the Radboudumc will allow for delivering fractions of radiation that are more likely to induce an anti-tumor response than is currently feasible. In depth -Omics analyses, and further integration of (functional) imaging and biomarkers will help to establish what combinations and conditions may be most effective.
We have invited a number of (inter)nationally renowned speakers who will present their latest findings on the following topics:
- DNA repair and recognition
- Radio- & immunotherapy
- Metabolism & Imaging
- Omics & Radiomics
At the end of day 2, there will be a break-out session for members of the Radio-Immunotherapy and Biomarkers Brain Storm Groups of the Elekta Unity Consortium.
